Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind. When someone loses their sight, the charity Guide Dogs is here to make sure they don’t lose their freedom as well. Hemel Hempstead Town FC has invited the Herts, Beds and Essex branch of The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association to Vauxhall Road for the home game against Oxford City on Saturday 29th September 2018, in order for them to collect charity donations to assist their great work. There will also be a “crossbar challenge” at Half Time during the game (from the edge of the penalty area), with a small entrance fee for participant in order to generate more funds for the charity collection.

This event was suggested by the Tudors Supporters Club, with visually impaired fans (and their dogs) being part of the Tudors fanbase. The TSC thanks the football club for making this happen and we would like to further assist by offering fans a chance to help out on the day in any way they can – either by generously donating or by helping the Charity staff with their collections, or by accompanying them during the game to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable visit to Vauxhall Road. Any fans interested in helping out, please email
